Hand surgery
Bernard has extensive experience in hand surgery. As a visiting specialist at the Women’s and Children’s Hospital, he has 15 years’ experience of management of children’s hand trauma, elective hand problems in children and congenital disorders of the hand.
Similarly, in his adult practice, he has a long-standing interest in disorders of the hand, such as carpal tunnel syndrome, Dupuytren’s disease, rheumatoid and osteoarthritis and hand trauma. Commonly performed procedures include:
- carpal tunnel release
- joint replacement arthroplasty
- base of thumb arthroplasty
- surgical correction of Dupuytren’s disease.
He is happy to consult on any hand condition. Pre-consultation imaging is not necessarily required, given on-site radiology at both Grange and North Adelaide. If unsure please ask on referral.
